Soup Bowl with Blue Strips

$70.00
sold out

Approximate Dimensions: 3.5×6×6

This piece was made on the wheel. This bowl is a great volume for a soup or small serving bowl. Then was fired in a soda kiln. Its surface is a result from both soda licking across its surface and the iron showing through the slip. Soda ash contains sodium and melts at these high temperatures; 2050-2150F to become a vaporized glaze in the kiln. All my pots are sanded by hand to give a soft feel and make them more friendly to use. Some of the interiors are lined with a white glaze. They are safe to use, but I recommend handling with care, but encourage using them.
